Well, Halloween is only a few months away and we all know how quickly it tends to creep up. Before you know it, its only a day away and you're left stranded without an idea for a costume. So, here's an idea for you Call of Duty fanatics... why not dress up as one of the characters from COD Ghosts? I mean, its not entirely difficult, is it? You could go all out or you could get away with just wearing the awesome Ghosts mask. Here are some of the clothing items you may be interested in:

Balaclava Mask
This is basically the most important piece of the costume. Without the skull/ghosts balaclava mask, it just won't work. Note: Ignore the sunglasses and headset as they aren't included... Not that you would be wearing a headset to a Halloween party:

Remember to get some black or dark green facepaint if you want to darken out the skin around your eyes. You might want some white facepaint as well, just to whiten the bridge of your nose and between your eyes, just to complete the skull effect. NOTE: Be sure to cover your entire face in black/green paint. Otherwise, if you take the mask off, you might look silly! See an example in the picture below:

Hardcore Ricochet

It looks like the developers over at IW are currently debating whether or not to implement Hardcore Ricochet in COD Ghosts. In case you didn't already know, Ricochet defines how team damage is dealt with. In regular non-Ricochet modes, shooting at a team mate will result in a team kill. This game mechanic sometimes lends itself to trolling, where players purposely join hardcore modes with the intention of angering their team mates by killing them. The resulting outbursts of rage are sometimes recorded and then uploaded onto Youtube.

In Ricochet modes, things work differently in the sense that any damage you direct towards your team mates is automatically deflected back onto you. This means that if you shoot a team mate in the head, it won't harm them. Instead, the damage will be applies to your character. i.e. You'll be dead.

Speaking on Twitter, IW games developer "SirTomnus" said:

Rick O'Shea or no Rick O'Shea that is the question.

Rick O' Shea is a pun word. Say it out loud and you'll see why...

Free Fall

"Free Fall" has been named as one of the special DLC maps that can be downloaded by those who pre-order COD Ghosts. According to IW, the map will be available on day one.

free fall

Free Fall
Free Fall has been described as a "dynamic" map, which basically means that certain parts of the map will move, fall and crumble as the player is navigating through it. According to Infinity Ward, you'll be playing inside a badly damaged skyscraper that is on the verge of collapse. There will be winding stairways that lead to the roof and a glass floor that may break if it takes enough damage (causing players that are standing on it to fall to their deaths). As the game rages on, the map will change as the skyscraper continues to crumble around you. Sight lines that were there at the beginning of the game will be closed-up as debris continues to rain down from above. Chokepoints will change. Players will be forced to choose different paths. Basically, you will need to alter your gameplay and tactics to deal with the ever-changing environment around you. This will surely affect those who like to play a stationary game of "camp and wait". It will also affect your common rusher, who will no doubt have to evolve and switch routes as the building continues to collapse.

So far, nothing has been said about whether this DLC is only available to Next-Gen consoles or not. Personally, I think that they'd have to state such a stipulation from the get-go.
